Sorry in advance, this is gonna be a long one. -- Can we all just take two seconds to appreciate this man for the time and effort he puts into his videos? Yes, I'm sure he learns things from his own videos, but he has NO reason to go to such depth for HIMSELF. He takes NO sponsorships. ALL damage is out of his own pocket. All TIME is taken from his own responsibility. This man is single handedly taking on the mainstream commercial forum and is winning. Not only are the tests themselves higher quality than anything else on any platform, they're videoed, charted, and repeated on various test media. This man in his home has taken more prerogative than any billion dollar company has in testing their materials. A true hats off to you , sir. And many more years to come!

Did anyone see the five-minute test per brand? That was only the five-minute. Imagine the time spent doing other tests and preparing this video. The time he dedicated to test every brand deserves a subscribe to his channel.

Love the "no frills" comparisons, as a DIY and mechanical hobbyist, I love tools and this channel really makes it easy for me to chose which one will suite my application.

I use the DeWalt daily for work, and results of this test are in line with my experience. However I think you're right in saying the gyro drive takes some getting used to, but once you get the hang of it, you can really finely adjust drive speed in a way that no other screwdriver tested allows. I use this drill for tapping threads in plastic, assembling sensitive electronics, and much more. it's been one of my daily driver as far tools go, and definitely feel like it's worth the short learning curve

I've had the Metabo for a couple of years now. Plenty of power for a screwdriver and the lowest clutch settings are great for delicate stuff that would be easy to damage. It's a great tool.

I have two of the Dewalt’s - straight/pistol grip and simply straight versions - and love them both.

Great tests! The Bosch is pretty expensive here in the US at $90 but you can get the exact same tool with Dremel branding for $50 (same parent company - Bosch). I snagged one on sale at Tractor Supply for only $25 today and it's just as good, just with fewer accessories. At the more reasonable price, this would probably be a higher rank since it tested so well.

The Skil is actually pretty slick for my job, its small enough to fit into the awkward spaces and I mainly utilize it for removing/installing mud rings and outlet covers/faceplates. It definitely can't handle anything with screws and hard materials but that is typically when the drill comes into play. Plus for how cheap it was I think it was worth the convenience. :)

I’m a professional low-volt electrical contractor, that Dewalt screwdriver is one of the best tools I’ve ever purchased. The gyroscope becomes very natural after you get used to it.

Out of the box the Dewalt is hard to get used to. But once you are used to the gyro design its great. I use mine in server rooms and not having to remember to set the direction combined with the super slow(so you don't strip a screw) variable starting speed; It's a wonderful tool.

I gotta say, I have an old Black and Decker AD600 screw-driver/drill uses 4 AA batteries. I received it as a Christmas present about 25 years ago. I bought bit and drill sets for it and the Thing has been doing all kinds of stuff that whole time, I really didn't expect it to last a year, now it rates up there as one of the best Christmas presents and tools I ever got/have.

As a shop owner, I pay close attention to your tests. Buying the right tool based on your tests can save a lot of frustrations down the line and it clears a lot of the misinformation about one brand or another. Thanks a lot for all your hard work.

Another great vid. Just wish you had included Snap On. I use mine professionally every day for mechanical work, as opposed to carpentry which is mainly used in the forward direction only. The rocker trigger controlling the forward/reverse

I'm trying to make a point of liking all your videos my man, but unfortunately I end up binge watching all of them and miss some here and there. I just hope you see this! Your video formatting is pretty sacrificial and in the most respectable way. You do an excellent job editing and narrating. Thanks again for the test. Your testing in different ways really gives a honest and realistic test of each of these. Turning over the large geared plug in dirll shows what they are made of. I have a early edition of a skill that just wont die, to my surprise. I will replace it with the Dewalt. Have a great new year. Best!

I have the dewalt version with the clutch. I've used it for 2 years fixing rc cars. It gets abused and keeps on going. The gyro was weird at first but it's amazing now and can't live without it. I'm a die hard milwaukee guy, but dewalt did great with the gyro screwdriver!

This is a channel where brand loyalty comes to die, and for good reason.

I use the Metabo because it was the least expensive I found with a clutch. It's been great for doing IT work... seeing the clutch test definitely affirms my choice since I occasionally deal with delicate fasteners.
