Thanks for sharing. There's definitely a huge difference in colour and in sharpness. The Hyperdeck show more accurate color to the white and black, I can see the dogs eyes are much sharper with the hyperdeck recording, I can see more details. I'm a dslr shooter now, I was looking to get back into ENG style camera to shoot live events I think this camera would be a great match with the Video Device Pix Recorder or the new BlackMagic Design 5" Recorder.
What is important to remember, is the 4:2:2 color space that is recorded in SDI. You do not get that on the native tape recording. Software will definitely see the difference when i comes to editing or pulling clean keys from blue or green screen.
this is amazing moon shot! I have a question about 422 recorder. Did you feel it makes the noise reduced when you shot in low light with this 422 recorder? I really wanna know it...
The record on the ssd/hyperdeck shuttle was with audio or not? My information is that the HD/SDI output on the XL-H1s is without audio, no embedded audio. In this case is there any possibility to get video and audio with XL-H1s on this hyperdeck shuttle?
actually noise is created by sensor...maybe a little bit if your recording on a TAPE but mostly caused by sensor....what are you working with?
Hi... you can "see" what you are recording? with the Hyperdeck output signal...
Technically he needs a 2 bit enhancement :)
Some parts of video cant be seen like this...(specially on youtube...) but if your working with camera and saying theres no difference between HDV and uncompressed 10bit 4:2:2 yout should enhance your knowledge a bit... A 10 bit...XD
virtually no difference. this is the second youtube video that i saw about comparinson between hd-sdi and hdv. they're virtually the same even when paused. i bet when there's no label, one could not tell which is which.
Oh, but there is a difference. Just because apples and oranges are round doesn't mean they are the same.
