I have a similar craftsman table saw except mine is the budget version with the aluminum deck. I am almost wishing it would expire so I can justify a one with a cast iron deck, less vibration, and a better fence.

I have seen it myself. Wires melt stuck together and created a short in the circuit. To spray shrink wrap on all the wires seems counter productive to me.
